However, it’s essential to make sure that the clothing is produced in an environmentally sustainable manner. The company’s sustainability goals are reducing water consumption, energy usage, and greenhouse gas emissions. Unfortunately, this company doesn’t disclose the factories where it manufactures its products or whether or not it meets these goals. Instead, it states that it “reduces and reuses materials.”

To reduce its environmental impact, American Eagle has implemented a recycling system in its stores. It also has a Give Back Box, which allows consumers to print a free return label. The company sells affordable clothes, but it doesn’t reveal any evidence that it has been able to drastically cut down on the amount of waste it produces. Similarly, it doesn’t show proof that it has reduced the number of hazardous chemicals in its supply chain.
