Is Lulus Redefining Fast Fashion?

Lulus Redefining Fast Fashion

Lulus is an online clothing retailer, originally a vintage boutique in Chico, California. It is an internationally successful fashion brand with global annual sales of over $280 million. With a wide range of styles, including dresses, denim and footwear, Lulus offers fashionistas a choice of looks at a price that fits a variety of budgets.

The company uses a data-driven approach to ensure it sells items promptly. It also relies on social media to drive sales. In addition, the website features hundreds of new styles every week. There is a ‘fit finder’ that helps shoppers find the perfect fit based on measurements and personal preferences. Also, customers can subscribe to an e-newsletter and receive text updates.

Customers can create an online Lulus account to view products, add items to their wish lists and access special offers. Additionally, customers can receive 15% off their next Lulus purchase. Lastly, there is a dedicated email address for customer support. This means Lulus can respond to customers’ questions, regardless of the issue.

The Lulus website is straightforward to navigate. However, the company does not offer information about its suppliers or sustainability efforts. Instead, it promotes its clothing with a focus on on-trend and accessible pieces. Specifically, it focuses on dresses, which can be found at various prices.

Unlike other fast-fashion brands, however, Lulus does not clearly focus on ethical labour practices or environmental protection. Instead, it uses materials that may not be eco-friendly. While the brand does not have a dedicated policy for animal welfare or water reduction initiatives, it does promise to be more sustainable in the future.

To return a product, Lulus asks for the original packaging and tags. It also requires the item to be unworn. If the title is postmarked within ten days of delivery, the buyer can receive a $7 refund. However, if the label is not postmarked, the buyer will not be able to make a claim.

As far as customer service goes, Lulus has a top-notch reputation. Lulus’ customer service team will quickly and efficiently respond to any customer questions or concerns. They will also respond to negative reviews. Although most reviews praise Lulus’ customer service, a few negative reviews mentioned that the shopping experience was not ideal.

One thing that can be confusing to shoppers is the return policy. Lulus’ policy states that customers must return all items in their original packaging, and the label must be postmarked within ten days of delivery. Unfortunately, this is not a simple process. The customer must also request a prepaid return label to make a return. Depending on where the item is shipped, it may take a few days to process. On the other hand, Lulus does offer free shipping on orders over $50 in the US. For international orders, the time for delivery will vary.
