The Mareel Cinema Got Funds of 40k Euros
The Mareel theatre in Lerwick was given nearly #40,000 as a portion of a Screen Scotland finance designed to aid individual cinemas. Twenty Nine cinemas in Scotland made a share of this 1.98 million Independent Cinema Recovery and Resilience Fund.
The Lerwick theatre is scheduled to re-open this Friday, 21st May. Also, Shetland Arts leader Graeme Howell said that they were “eager” to help you to welcome crowds straight back.
“The service we’ve received from Screen Scotland has turned into an important in ensuring we remain a workable organization and can create a fantastic opening weekend straight back again to Shetland.”
