The family was initially based out of New Orleans, and when this series begins, we see the three siblings going back to their original hometown. ‘Sabrina the Teenage Witch’ is based on the Archie comics character, Sabrina Spellman. It is a sitcom which chronicles Sabrina’s life as a witch. She lives in a strange family with two aunts who are 500 years old. She has an anthropomorphic cat called Salem. On her 16th birthday, she first comes to know that she is a witch. However, this is a deviation from what we find in the book where Sabrina always knows that she is a witch with magical powers. The series became popular and was syndicated in many countries after its initial run. However, the show has not been free from criticism.
