After a hiatus caused by pandemics, Lagos Fashion Week will be back at the Lagos Fashion Week Tents Federal Palace Hotel, October 27th-30th.
#TheFutureStartsNow was the theme of this year’s edition. It speaks to the need for a global industry that values people and preserves the environment. For the next decade, and many more, fashion’s future starts now. It begins with rising talent across the continent and a commitment by our ecosystem to adopt functional fashion systems that deliver economic, social, and environmental solutions that benefit all.
Heineken Lagos Fashion Week is supported and promoted by Style House Files Lush Hair Advantage Austria Nigeria, OPPO & Nigerian Export Promotion Council.
Officially, the countdown has begun! There are 7 days left, and Lagos Fashion Week will be back in full force.
We met with Cynthia Abila and Pepperow, Studio IMO, Elfreda, Vicente, and their muses Angel Obasi and Saleema. They shared their thoughts on fashion’s future in Africa with us.
Lagos Fashion Week will return to Federal Palace’s physical tents, but this year’s edition will be hybrid. It will feature digital shows highlighting rising African talent and a separate exhibition of selected designer’s collections.

As part of our ongoing commitment to foster new conversations and exchanges of ideas around sustainability in fashion in Nigerian and African countries, Lagos Fashion Week has teamed up with Fru Girls, PopSwap, a new digital community for Global Fashion Exchange, to host a digitally enabled Swap Shop in Lagos. It will be held from 28-30 October. Lagos Fashion Week will promote a circular economy by facilitating the exchange of used items through sharing, donating, and resale.
