What’s Coming to Netflix This Week (June 24th to 30th)

Welcome to your look at what’s coming to Netflix over the next 7 days in the US. It’s going to be a busy week as we round out the month of June before heading into a packed release schedule for July 2019. 

As usual, this is the most comprehensive look at what’s to come to Netflix over the next week as we’ve got new additions that no other outlet provides.

Now let’s take a look at some of the highlights on the way this week.

Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse (2019)

Netflix is no longer getting Marvel movies from the MCU but Sony Pictures Animation still distributes their movies to Netflix meaning we’re technically getting a Marvel movie through a loophole.

Nevertheless, this means we’re possibly getting the best Spider-man movie to date. A gorgeously animated action adventure that’s appealing to adults and kids alike. This is the absolute must-watch of the week.

Tales of the City (Season 1)

Netflix has just recently rebooted the series Tales of the City to continue the story of the original PBS series. If you’re looking to head back, Netflix is offering you that opportunity this week. We’re getting the complete original series of Tales of the City and although More Tales of the City and Further Tales of the City will only be headed to Netflix in Australia, we’re still glad we’re getting the original to watch through.

Madam Secretary (Season 5)

CBS has either yanked or stopped selling shows to Netflix altogether in recent years with a few exceptions. One is Madam Secretary which will see its sixth and last season air later this year.

Here are some other highlights:

• If you love your crime docu-series, Netflix has a new series called Exhibit A releasing later in the week and is about innocent people who were convicted using dubious forensic techniques.
• Kevin Jame’s 2011 comedy hit Zookeeper arrives on Wednesday.
• Tracy Morgan’s Scare Tactics seasons 4 & 5 are arriving on Netflix around the world later this week.
• Netflix has added plenty of new anime this month with the second season of Forest of Piano due out on Monday.
