Mary Poppins Returns – Disney
Welcome to your daily recap of what’s new on Netflix today. Only two new titles were added today but both warrant your time and attention. Here’s everything that came and went from Netflix in the United States for July 9th, 2019.
Today marks the end of the Disney deal which saw all new releases between 2016 and the end of 2018 come to Neflix. As Mary Poppins Returns was the final Disney release of 2018, it’s the final one to come to Netflix. All of these Disney movies will be leaving Netflix over the course of the next two years.
In case you missed our preview for the week, it’s going to be quieter than usual but the likes of 3Below and Point Blank are titles to be looking forward to that are coming this week.

Carrying on with Disney’s recent trend of pulling out everything from its back catalog for a reboot, it bought back the 1930s Mary Poppins franchise revitalizing it for a new generation.
Although reviews weren’t too good for the movie, it did make bank when it released towards Christmas last year. It sees Emily Blunt take up the role of Mary Poppins who
Aziz Ansari: RIGHT NOW (2019)
Genre: Stand-up
Director: Spike Jonze
Cast: Aziz Ansari
Runtime: 65 mins
Aziz Ansari is back after a long hiatus for a new special. This will be Aziz’s third stand-up special for Netflix with his first special arriving all the way back in 2013 with a second in 2015.
In this special, Aziz talks about wokeness, family, the social climate in 2019 and takes the mickey out of people who liked Crazy Rich Asians.

A few big removals today including the fantastic 2016 movie Lion.
