IN LAHORE: Pakistan will launch its bid to qualify directly for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 and taking on Zimbabwe in the three ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Super League matches at Rawalpindi on October 30, November 1, and November 3, the Pakistan Cricket Board certified on Sunday.
The ICC has acquainted the Super League with setting to ODI cricket and will serve as a capability for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 with the hosts and other top seven sides naturally reserving their spots for the India occasion. Including 13 teams, the 12 Test-playing countries, and the Netherlands, the Super League will see each side play four home and four away three-coordinate series.
The three ODIs were initially scheduled for Multan, yet moved to Rawalpindi because of logistical and operational challenges.
The scene’s adjustment also means Lahore will currently stage the three Twenty20 Internationals on 7, 8, and 10 November. These matches were at first intended to occur in Rawalpindi.
