Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD Season 5 is available to stream on Netflix
The sixth season of Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD is in full swing and as expected fans are asking when we can expect to see the latest season on Netflix. We’ll be diving into some of the details of the latest season and why season 6, at the very least, won’t be arriving until later this year.
Marvel’s Agents of Shield is an American superhero-drama based on the Marvel Comic’s organization S.H.I.E.L.D. The series was created in response to the overwhelming popularity of the MCU, Avengers director Joss Whedon co-created the series alongside fellow creators Jed Whedon and Maurissa Tancharoen. While there is no direct involvement between that of the series and film franchise, Agents of SHIELD took place in the film’s universe, acknowledging the continuity of other Marvel titles set within the franchise.
Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement, and Logistics Divison or better known as SHIELD are the organization responsible for keeping humanity safe from threats both on and off world. Thought to be dead in the events of Avengers, Agent Phil Coulson is alive, well and putting together a small team of Agents to take on SHIELD’s strangest cases.
When will Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD Season 6 be on Netflix?
As we hinted above the sixth season of Agents of Shield won’t be arriving on Netflix until later this year. In previous years the latest season would arrive in the month of June, but due to the sixth season starting late into the year, we aren’t expecting to see season 6 until the late summer.
Assuming there are no breaks in between episodes week to week then the Agents of SHIELD finale will air on August the 2nd. If you’re wondering why the season is ending so early, that’s because there will only be 13 episodes for Season 6.
Potential Release Date: September 2019
Are other regions streaming Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD?
Outside of the United States, there are 10 countries that receive the latest seasons of Agents of SHIELD. None of these regions stream the latest episodes week to week and like the US they have to wait until a season ends before it eventually arrives on Netflix.

Has Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD been renewed for Season 7?
Yes! and filming for the seventh season has already begun. With the seventh season deep into filming, we could potentially see the series arrive later this year in the Winter. Actress Ming-Na Wen confirmed filming of Season 7 had begun after posting a picture on her Instagram.
